Recently, I have completed my BFA in Animation at California College of the Arts. I have a lifelong passion for all things animation. I love creating compelling character performances with unique acting choices that show the character’s personality. Storytelling is very important in my work and plays a pivotal role in my creative process. I constantly push myself to grow as an animator and improve my abilities. I have over 2 years of professional animation experience working in a production environment. I work very well within a team and thoroughly enjoy the collaborative nature of animation production. Currently, I am seeking an entry-level character animator position.

Experience

Associate Animator, Double Helix Games Irvine, CA January 2008 – January 2009

As an Associate Animator at Double Helix, I produced hand-keyed and motion capture-based animations using Maya and Motion Builder for the “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra” video game. I worked closely with game designers, programmers and scripters to ensure animations ran smoothly and seamlessly inside the game engine.

3D Artist, Heavenspot Hollywood, CA December 2005 – March 2007

At Heavenspot, I was one of two in-house 3D Artists. As a result, I was involved in every stage of production and worked on a wide variety of projects. Job duties included: creating high quality 3D stills and animation, creating motion graphics, video production and post-production, pre-production design and web content creation. Clients included: Pepsi, Fox, Newline, Red Bull, Echo Unltd. and American Racing.

Skills

I have a strong knowledge of the animation principles and professional experience creating both traditional hand-drawn and 3D animations. I have professional experience using the following software: Maya, Motion Builder, Mental Ray, TV Paint, Digicel Flipbook, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, , Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, ProTools, Microsoft Office and Apple’s iWork and iLife suites. I am comfortable working in both Windows and Mac OSX environments.
